Wellness, Miracles and Healing – Revolutionary Healing

The recently announced and rare public appearance of the Master Teacher of a Course in Miracles in San Jose, CA, at World Wellness Weekend, November 3-5, 2006, challenges us all to consider what constitutes wellness a course in miracles. Is it merely a condition that is the opposite of sickness or are we willing to entertain a larger perspective?Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy Books | A Course in Miracles

The seemingly impossible dilemma inherent to the human condition is that it appears always to perceive something outside itself. Whether that “something” is a deadly strain of virus, the cancer I am fighting, the spinach I am eating, the car I am driving, the randomness of terrorism, or the obnoxiousness of my next door neighbor—there is always something “out there” that can “get” me. The predicament is the defining characteristic of all human behavior. Trying to find a reference point within the chaos of apparently opposing forces — social, physical, emotional, intellectual, and sexual — I react blindly to whatever I think I perceive. I stand as if within a mirrored ball, bouncing off my own reflection, always in a reaction, projecting onto my body, my family, my community, and my world my own fearful defense against my own perceptions. The human race, the Master Teacher reminds us, is “suffering from the disease of projected self-identity. ”

Within the dilemma that is the human condition, we have sought for worldly ‘solutions, ‘ both political and personal, that have led to either more problems or merely a change in the form of the problem. How quickly everything changes, however, when i take total responsibility for the reality I am experiencing. I am the perceiver of everything I see. I define it, interpret it, and react to it. If there is a problem, it must be mine. Now it is here where the Course is unique and clearly comes from outside the framework of reality as it is known to the human mind. The Course does not seek to change the form of the problem, but to change the mind that thought the problem real. True healing is, as the Course in Miracles asserts, “corrected perception. ” It is inclusive of the emotional, spiritual and physical. It is the recognition that no healing was ever necessary! Mankind’s dilemma of being a victim to its own perceived objective condition is solved miraculously in an instantaneous recognition of the Singular nature of reality.

The metamorphosis of mankind to enlightened consciousness is not a process, but an experience within the individual. It occurs in a quantum leap of awareness. As a transmission of the frequency of resurrected mind demonstrated through a Course In Miracles, the Master Teacher collapses time in extraordinary condensed encounters that are designed help you remember the impossibility of sickness. “Could you but realize for a single instant the power of healing that the reflection of God, shining in you, can bring to all the world, you could not wait to make the mirror of your mind clean to receive the image of the holiness that heals the world. ” (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 14- IV)”What you think you are is a belief to be undone. But what you really are must be revealed to you. The belief you are a body calls for correction, being a mistake. The truth of what you are calls on the strength in you to bring to your awareness what the mistake conceals. ”

I attended a wedding shower over the weekend and was reminded by some friends, that the book “A Course In Miracles, ” is a powerful tool of awareness. The quote above comes from lesson 91 in the book titled, “Miracles are seen in the light. ” It continues: ” Miracles are seen in the light. The body’s eyes do not perceive the light. But I am not a body. What am I? ”

Good question right? I seemed to be all kinds of things depending on the situation I find myself living in. I bounce back and forth on the tennis court of my emotions trying to discover what I really am. I have faith that i am something other than a body filled with crazy thoughts, but I can’t pull myself out of the daily routine of being hit over the net of illusions with distorted rackets of achievement. It appears I need something solid to put my faith in so i can escape my body and find my true strength. I do have the ability to see light without my physical eyes if i make the effort. The responsibility for finding the answers is within me; the strength that makes all miracles is within my reach and is waiting for my discovery.

Once I believe these truths I begin to experience them, by concentrating and expressing my strength. All sense of weakness associated with the belief that i am just body begins to disappear. My strength takes over and I am connected with me, the spirit, in a web of all There is, and the energy of miracles becomes apparent. Miracles are always present; now my awareness sees them in the true light of knowing who I am.
